Camp Fire Butte County CA

Looks like lots of evacuations going on.
very windy today which will drive it fast

6:50AM listed at 10 acres
9:17am listed at 5000 acres

Mandatory evacuation up to Magalia in the Paradise area.

I know there are many members in that area
stay safe and let anyone know if you need a hand

Elderly Family in Magalia. Can anyone help?

We’re in Sacramento and can’t get up there due to road closure.

Still Dry as Fawk everywhere...doesn't matter how cold it is.

People are starting to use their fire places, I'm actually surprised it hasn't happened sooner or more.

Here in socal our historically worst fires all happen this time of year. Brush is extremely dry and the Santa Ana winds kick up. Also it is about 75 degrees right now and still warming. It got way down to 51 last night. I almost needed long sleeves. The weather may be colder in norcal but it is still dry as hell.

The column is kinda visible, it’s laying down pretty low with the winds. Starting to get windy here too.

Usually here when it gets cold the humidity spikes a bit and you get moisture in the air and frost which helps the dryness, not in the ground but surface stuff. Not always though as last year was warm and dry like above.

Fire's suck.

Yubanet showing 8-10000 acres now.

I’m sure they can’t see anything, will have to wait for the IR flight tonight for real numbers.

Continue to be amazed at the ridiculous power of these things. That's crazy.

Here's to a safe and level-headed evacuation, California, so that we can tease and insult you with clear consciences.
