BEST AUTOMOBILE EVER PRODUCED

What is your pick for the imaginary BEST AUTOMOBILE EVER PRODUCED award?

Give reason and outline what merits you base your choice on.

Budget friendly, excellent factory roll cage, better fuel economy than a Tesla, extreme durability, and ultimate utility.

I'd have to chose the 1980-1996 F-series trucks.

I'd base that on capabilities, resistance to abuse, simplicity, availability, easy to work on, the design is timelessly attractive and they have always remained affordable to own.

The product of more than 40yr of incremental refinement. If I was in the market for a new 2wd cab/chassis there's nothing else I'd buy.

No windows in the back to keep prying eyes off your victims, er, I mean stuff, sliding side door for easy snatch and grab operations, er, I mean easy loading of cargo, powerful V8 for a quick getaway, er, I mean ease of acceleration onto a freeway while loaded, nondescript appearance and colour scheme to make police location harder, er, I mean to not draw attention while, er, uh, to umm, not be noticed while having lunch beers at the pub, that's it, right.

They make them with V10s now you neanderthal.

Also, the I-beam front suspension will have no problem driving on the median at highway speed while you avoid the spike strips.

91-95 XJ Cherokees with 4.0, AW4, and NP231

Stupid reliable, decent fuel economy, good power for the size, not too big or small, cheap to purchase, cheap to maintain. They'd really worked out the few problems with them by 91 after getting rid of the Renix stuff, vac disconnect, ect.

Based on your description, I would have to say you have never been around one.

Ford: Designed by idiots, owned by morons.
