Yea the net loss was less, which kept the Ferrari behind. So dumb. It was compounding problems for the Ferraris.

It was a double whammy of bullshit. <a href="https://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/images/smilies/laughing.gif" border="0" alt="" title="laughing" >:-)</a>

That's what I figured. MB is running away with it. They're lucky AND good. Thats a hard combo to beat.

I was surprised that LeClerc seemed to ve slow today. Seagrass was walking away from him after the start.

Once. He out drove him the first time. Not screwed him. Flat out out bested him.

That's the whole issue with F1 today and was once again proven in this race. Anyone that is not out in front and in clean air can't get close and pass without over heating the engine, brakes, tires and basically wrecking their race. Hammy could not get past either Ferrari even tho he had better pace and then once he got out front he was 5 seconds out in just a few laps.

Race pace and quali pace are not the same. Ferrari was having a hard time getting a set of tires to last ONE lap during quali. Their last sector time was down. It's crazy to me what seperates the top 5-6 cars.

Twice. They apparently had some sort of deal, which vettel didn't honor. Which put him out in front of leclerc when his car took a crap and caused the safety car. Vettel was in the clean air, of course he was running away.

The drag is good but not that good. Look at last year.

I don't care what deal they had. Vettel blew his doors off and walked out of his life and it wasn't just clean air. leclerc couldn't get close enough to allow the swap to happen without compromising them both. Who gives a shit if leclerc did ONE lap faster. It was a 1:31.628 to a 1:32.053 in qualifying trim.

If I was Vettel I would have told the team no deals. They are neck and neck in points and IMO Vellel should win the tie breaker just because it's a 4 time champion.

You really think Vettel could have kept Bottas behind if he didn't blow the start?

If both Ferraris were still at the front then yes absolutely. If Charles didn't fuck up too they probably would have been able to regain the lead pretty quickly.

Of course, there are a billion "what ifs" and whats done is done.

Just seemed to me like Bottas was managing the race extremely well. Lower deg gave them the advantage. But then at the end Vettel kept Hambone behind after he burned up his reds.

Yes for a few laps. But we all know you can't run a Ferrari on the hot map for the whole race. Not sure on temps after the storm blew threw. Maybe they could have run it for more than usual but not the whole race. I don't think either could have held off Bottas for the entire race. Either pace or strategy would have won out.

Max got FAWKED with no lube or reacharound. The flat was 100% his fault but the penalty was harsh for what it was. I hope Charles got to meet spiderman. Might be the highlight of his weekend.

WOW. 40% loss down to 10% will be HUGE. Place swaps at every DRS zone.

And a second USA race maybe. HMMM

If they wan't to grow the sport in North America, another race or two wouldn't be such a bad idea.

They could plan a Canada-USA back to back rather than flying to Canada in June for one race.

I'd get interested in F1 again if they greatly simplified the cars. At present they're so idiotically complicated as to be ridiculous.
