It seems to me that the single unifying characteristic about millennials is that they all disavow the millenial generation and vehemently protest that “they’re not like that”....they’ve all got their shit together and used to pick cotton or something back when they were kids, so they know what work is.

I remember being little and people talking about Gen Xers as people in their teens and 20s, so I never really associated with that. Maybe that's how everyone who's right at the beginning or end of one of the generations feels, I dunno.
Same. Born in 82, but I remember as a kid hearing that gen x was those coming of age as adults, and being called gen y as a teenager and into early adulthood. The term millennials came about when I was a grown man.

Millennials are the generation who were born with computers in their house. I've always felt that gen y was those born vin the late 70s to mid 80s, and were the last generation that played outside as children. Computers, internet, and video games only became ubiquitous in our teenage years. The generation who played video games from birth instead of riding bikes and building tree forts is the millennial generation.

nice. should/could be the general rule.

i dont see millenials as all too bad, we made them into pussies.

but

our oldest daughter will be 30 this year....she did not have a pc or video game in our house till she was 10. she and her 3 sisters rarely play video games at all, but do enjoy real sports and ride motorcycles and wreck shit...shoot stuff ect. so not typical millenials....but all the phone chatsnap or whatever shit is non stop. they keep me interested in the world with all of the shenanigans.

there is another factor. of the two youngest daughters, they only know 3-4 people with a intact family of mother/father. this is a factor and a heavy one for the last 50 years.

our 5th child, little bob...the surprise baby...was born in 2005. this is proving a true lesson in post 9/11 susceptibility to revisionism. learning scary shit from this current crop and our sorry general education system...

....cant keep him from video games.(i been absent at work most of the last 5 years)

but we shoot, fish, and rides dirtbikes when we can.

these are to be more worrisome then any millenials...millenials have enough life experience where political correctness was much less crushing then now...i think they are armed well enough to figure out the many issues with progressiveness..

the new guys being hatched from 2010 on... i cant see figuring out, or being allowed to read books like 1984.

in this perspective i see the mills as getting the shit end of the stick.

Perhaps it's a product of their parenting, and they've learned how to blame shit on someone younger than them with the best of them.
