We had the same stove when I was a kid. My father bought it brand new and didn't came with a gasket on, never had one in 35+ years and burns very well without one.

From scrapping brass, the doors do have the gasket which is set in place w/sealer that hardens like cement-

I've never seen a gasket on the older illegal double door stoves. The one in my shop doesn't have one and even with the oil line running into it, with the drafts closed, it'll get down to touchable with wood in it and the oil flowing.
