Shipping container floor

Bought a couple of shipping containers for storage/kennel. Looking for something durable to seal the wood floor. Small section of floor is also metal. Is there any type of epoxy coating that will seal/waterproof it?

I have no idea if those floors are treated with anything. I know the steel is corten steel, which takes about 4 times longer to rust through than regular steel.

Anyhoo, I bought an enclosed trailer a few years back, and the floor is coated with spray in bedliner and it's held up fantastic. It seems to keep water puddled on the liner instead of soaking into the wood.

My friends own a Line-X franchise, they sprayed about 50 containers of similar construction for use in shipping beef cattle, sprayed em up the walls about 4 feet, easy to pressure wash out. Prep will be key ie; Dry wood and oil free.

I'd replace the floors if it is for a kennel.

Or maybe get it sealed and then build a kennel floor over the top of it. Unless I knew exactly what it was sprayed with I would be nervous regardless of what I coated the main floor with.

Strip it out and replace. Then sell the old stuff for $10 a square foot to yuppies. Profit.

It not the same...it's basically very thick luan type plywood doctored up with chemicals and there is a coating of tar on the bottom. (Plus fastener holes on 10" centers or so.

We're currently modding 10 containers and cutting holes in floors, walls, ceiling etc. I thought I might be able to use the floor sections for something but I don't want anything to do with them.

Might make a good outdoor workbench for cooking meth.

The paint on the containers catches fire pretty good and leaves a black crust...I'm sure it's full of worse chemicals than your average paint.
