WTF is up with that 240p camera? That's the most suspicious part of the whole deal.

And it was on a military reserve base, and Jose goes "a military jet just crashed into our building" like yeah, right, one did.

Pluse the EPU just makes ammonia, and they call a hazmat team? Just wipe it up with some rags soaked in bleach, wah-la, problem solved.

looked like it was from a dash cam and the news people got a little too carried away with the super troopers enhance button.

because we'd allrather look at a big undefined blob than see the entire scene.

There is a big difference between just ammonia and hydrazine.

That sure is a relatively compact, square hole....

based on the hole, i suspect it landed in between rafters and just took everything with it leaving a square hole.

overhead someone from calfire talking about this when i was getting coffee this morning. when the plane leave north on the runway, they bank hard west, engine stalled, pilot ejected and landed on the runway, plane landed in warehouse.

In the video that building looks pretty close to the freeway and it was loaded with ordnance. One of the few things I actually know about is ordnance and the freeway is well within the kill range of many weapons. I say it was a good call.

532' assuming I have pinpointed the correct building. Its the only one around with the windows and vents spaced to match the pic we have. Paint and wall parking lot match up as well.

An F-16 returning to March Air Reserve Base in Moreno Valley after a routine training mission crashed after its hydraulics failed and its pilot ejected, base officials said Thursday.

The jet crashed into a building off the base, on Van Buren Boulevard near the 215 Freeway, about 3:45 p.m.

Captured on a dashboard camera by a commuter on the freeway, the jet appeared to be leaning to one side as it dropped to the ground outside the base.

The pilot had reported hydraulics problems and said he was returning to base when he was forced to eject moments before impact, said the base’s deputy fire chief, Timothy Holliday.

they can't get it straight in the same article.

I bet the plane went down before it crashed, also

The crash happened as the pilot was landing following a routine training mission, March Air Reserve Base Deputy Fire Chief Timothy Holliday said. Witnesses reported seeing the jet shutter and roll moments before it plummeted to the ground.

“The pilot was having hydraulic problems,” Holliday said. “He started losing control of the aircraft.”

Gotcha.

Google earth seems to indicate most likely a take off based on crash site, landing rubber on the tarmac and traffic on the runway.

I'm just a rookie keyboard sleuth though so who knows.

It was extremely rare for aircraft to come back with ordnance. The whole point of the training is to drop or fire what you brought for practice. I would guess that he had problems right after v2 and tried to make it back or around. I doubt he actually went on his training mission. Just my thoughts.

ummm..... no

he likely had sidewinders and/or amraams due to his role as an alert aircraft under NORAD

Someone pointed his garage door clicker at it. POS can't fly without flight control computers. Blame it on the hydraulic system

you are correct. i used live at the red X and the blue loop is a semi regular mtb loop. all the planes ive seen there in the past 10 years follow the orange path. there is a decent sized mountain to the north so coming from the south has a better approach.
