And, if you're talking about buying a cheap older Toyota truck ($1,000) and throwing money at it ($10,000) to make it better than a $14,000 used TJ Rubicon, then apparently that argument doesn't hold up anymore since the original point of this thread is how expensive old Toyota trucks are now.
Well,

Why are the Rubicons more capable?

Because if it's for their lockers front and rear, some FZJ80s had them since 1993 and they hold their own, not to discredit the Rubicons.

But, neither truck is perfect for everything so, we have to compromise.

There was good reason I recommended the Ridgeline in that other thread. It won the Baja 1000. End of debate.

Last 48 hours. All clearly targeted at me. And I'm not even looking.

You just wish you were remembered for something better than obscure headlines and arguments that defy facts.

It's not really that unreliable. It's rather like... it heals itself at times.

Fine, fair enough.

Although (not to feed Dirty Comanche's breakdown in this thread). But, with a little more quality in them, I might add.

Not sure what you mean? Are you saying the locker's aren't that great? If so, I would say neither were the FZJ lockers. Seen many fail, and many that swap them out before failure for ARBs. So no, the stock Rubicon locker is not an ARB, but neither is a stock Toyota locker. Again, I'd still take the Rubicon over the an FZJ80. Have a die hard Toyota buddy, that even admitted as much years ago...
