CA voters didn't vote for the bullet train, like the tax hike on the rich and gun ban Propositions, the votes needed to insure they would pass were already in the box before the first real voter voted for or against it, Likely 1-1.6 million extra votes came out of LA county alone.

After the gay marriage prop was voted down 3 straight times by CA voters, the Socialists learned they could not rely on the voters at large to pass the Propositions they wanted, so they applied the same practice to electing the POTUS in '08 to the Propositions as well.

Kalifornians should be banned from politics for at least 20 generations.

Iirc the voters, voted to investigate the possibility of a bullet train, and Brown ran with it.

May have been argued that way leading up to the Nov. vote, but that wasn't what was on the ballot.
https://vig.cdn.sos.ca.gov/2008/gene...ide.pdf#prop1a

Funny how optimistic the pro argument was, yet 11yrs down the road, the SF to LA route has been cut down to Bakersfield to Merced, and that one section is already billions over budget and isn't estimated to be running for another 7-11yrs. By the time it ever gets finished, the first shit built will be needing repairs due to age.

An Iranian backed 9/11 event taking place at the next Democrat debate would work nicely.
