In getting ready to change the ac belt on my suburban. Well install one since they take themselves off every couple of months.

You may have an ac compressor about to fail. If you get off idle and that belt starts jumping around, then there is probably an imbalance inside the compressor. Meaning, a piston is about to fail.

Could be a weak tensioner too, if it has one.

Put it together and have someone hold the throttle around 15-1800rpm while you Watch the belt/tensioner. If that puppy starts jumping around, you’ll need a compressor.

MIL lost a long battle with cancer last week. We had her church service today, tomorrow is the “celebration of life”

Lots of family in from all over. We’ll be grilling and drinking tonight

Rest In Peace Mom

Fuck cancer

Yep the tensioner is jumping and the compressor is making grinding noise.

Wooo. New project.

With the engine off you can rotate the compressor with the clutch. You should be able to feel the rough spot somewhere in there, to confirm it’s toast.

In. Just finished 4 Wheel hubs and front brakes on a friends Prius.

Not a bad job, but the front brakes suck getting the pads into the bracket... stupid fucking design.

Sitting here with a margarita wondering why I am not doing something more productive.

Working on my buggy until 11:00. Getting close to final teardown and assembly. At the bar now sucking down martinis. Got notification a few minutes ago that power is out at my house. Hitting the road early for pig roast and wheeling event with the hard core crew.

What will they do with it if Pismo closes down??

When I lived on the central coast I never had an issue daily driving my bobbed/ donetailed/ dovenosed yota as a daily driver...... until holiday weekends. Every holiday weekend I drove around Pismo, I would get pulled over. Always went:
Cop: License and reg
Me: Here ya go
Cop: Ah- youre from SLO?
Me: Yep
Cop: looks around at bro trucks.... "Thanks- have a good day"
Me: Pulls away on 37s with no mud flaps/ half doors/ full cage/ maybe brake lights working?

A pirate or a local doing the work? Just stay out of the way and keep promising food and drink when they finish.... Provide beer too early and the house will look as crooked as before...

I was just at a wedding with some old buddies that live off hwy9 on the los gatos county/ san mateo county border and another off old 17, and a few off bear creek (canyon?) rd? I couldnt help but think if any were semi-neighbors of yours.

I lived about at 9 and bear creek rd.

Neighbors son and his partner from work are coming to do it starting at 6am. I had never met him till another neighbor introduced me last week and we actually recognize eachother fron work.
Hopefully it goes good, he way underbid it and when I told him he said "I know but it's what I do every day and it's my chance to help out a neighbor."
If it goes good I'm going to pay him what he wants plus order him a new set of tires for his truck that he commutes 140 miles a day. 2000ish z71 that's 14 different colors and bald ass tires.
