I got a bad habit of doing this. I got a Doosan light tower / generator yesterday on trade, Gave very little in value for it. But still, I don't own a camper to use the generator or have a use for it as outdoor lights.

What stupid shit have you traded for?

Yup, a decent condition working one is about $1,200 here. My cousin bought one a few years ago for a project. It gets used ALL the time!

Bright as a mother fucker, and just sips fuel ever so lightly.

I don't normally do trades, unless it is something I want. Last time I traded it cost me $10,000 in legal fees.... don't trade a quad for a street bike. Was a good trade -- at the time.

I will trade it the item someone wants to give me is worth 50% more than what I'm offering for sale.
then I just list their shit for 25% less than what it's worth and it goes away quickly, and I make another 25% just to sit on something for a week or two.

but all these assholes that come at you with "I've got 2 broken xboxes and some wendy's sweet and sour sauce" can go fuck themselves.

Setup a transfer switch on your house if you have a gas furnace it's plenty to have a backup power for lights, heat, fridge.

I run a little 7500w diesel generator. It only runs through a 4 gallon tank every 10-12 hours running my house (led lights, 2 fridges, gas furnace and water heater). Won't run the electric range but I have a grill on the deck.

The only trade I ever considered was a smal speed boat for my VW Bug. I was thinking of selling the bug to buy the boat and the guy said he'll take it. I ended up keeping the bug because the wife wanted a bathroom on the boat. (Bigger boat)

I got a good deal on it. Was thinking about the generator more than the lights, but not really sure I need to hold onto it. Its runs well, Got a 3 cylinder Kubota motor.

I think I am going to kick it down the road and make a few dollars on it, Cant see me keeping it.

Where are you located?

Its a 6k generator mated to a Kubota 3 cylinder diesel. Doosan LS model.

Decided to make some room and sell it.

If you were closer, I'd pay good money for that. What are you asking?

Looking to trade it for a trailer.

I didn't know much about these but these little Kubota 3 cylinder are used in a ton of things and they aren't cheap. looks like I may have done OK on this deal.

Traded a locked up 99 Silverado for an unknown condition 99 Cherokee only to find the Cherokee needs a head gasket or worse. I don’t know why I want to get the Cherokee drivable because I have no use for it. I should’ve hauled the Silverado to the junkyard and been done.
