GFM for drunk drivers

I shouldnt be, but pretty amazed that people are donating to a go fund me for someone who caused a wreck, and killed someone.

I never heard of her till I saw the articles:

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/kylie-r...-sheriff-says/

dead drunken country singer gfm

Yet the GFM for the 16 y/o victim was closed per family wishes.

If you read it, it was set up for her 6 year old daughter as soon as the wreck happened, and before any details were released about fault.

I’ll wait on the toxicology report before calling her a drunk driver, but you do you bud.

Drunk or not, she reportedly caused the wreck. GFM for the kid? Meh, it's ok but a little odd either way.

Meh, typically the family of the deceased at-fault dont benefit financially when they murder someone.

Prior DWI conviction and reasoning for toxicology are pretty good indicators. Doubt itll ever make the news if it takes months+.

I read the story I'd say its 99% likely a drunk driving accident but, I'd do poopy in my pants if it was some other stupid reason.

I’m not saying it isn’t possible or even likely she had been drinking, just think it’s shitty to go around labeling people before having the facts.

A DWI in the Austin/Hill Country area doesn’t mean much, they seem to think giving them out is a competition or badge of honor. I probably took 10 field sobriety tests in the 2 years I lived there, never had one otherwise.

No I was never arrested, but a buddy was for 3 empty old beer cans in his truck bed, after being pulled over for changing lanes without signaling. Took $5k on an attorney to get it reduced to careless driving, guy was a friend of a friend and usually charges $10k.

Evidence at the scene could have been a cup full of rum in her lap and smelling like it, or a bottle of wine in the back seat that had been opened the night before and corked.

First day on the internet huh.

I saw A GFM yesterday for $1000. Chick got her car impounded because her DWI having drug dealing boy friend borrowed her car and it got impounded after he got arrested doing something. Car has a loan and she doesn't have the cash to get it out of impound. It's been there for 2 weeks with the bill growing by $70/day.

Stupid decisions are suppose to hurt or no one learns from them. But now a days everyone just runs around getting help from everyone. Help is for those in NEED not those to put themselves where they are.

Begging for money...and you don't even have to stand at the end of the offramp.

Whatever happened to the days of fending for yourself?

That would make a large portion of government employees not needed.

Great Idea!

Regardless, it's beyond tacky for friends/family to beg for money on behalf of someone who took another's life--accident or not, drunk or not.

One's dignity used to mean something. If they had a shred of it, they would pony up at least half of what they received and give it to the dead victim's family.

Look, we're wildly speculating in here. Don't fuck it up.

Not really wildly speculating, they do know that speed and driver inattention played a part. The DUI is speculation so far. She rear ended the car in front of her and spun into oncoming traffic killing the young girl and herself, that is known from the investigation so far and the driver of the car she rear ended.

This year I had to burn through about 13k in home repairs, I'm just now recovering from a left hip replacement, and I'm springing for a funeral tomorrow for my father-in-law.

It's sad that suicide, being gay, and begging for money on the internet, is the in thing these days!

I always drink at home. It's just like going out and being served. I text my daughter, and out she comes with a cold one. Don't even get out of my chair, and no tipping!

Nope. That's the lifestyle I had before I had kids.
Once the kids were born, they became a bigger priority in life than "partying".

But whatever.

It just says she clipped the back of the other vehicle, not that she rear ended it parked at a red light. Who knows what the "not at fault" party could have done prior to that.

You have never gone out on a date with your wife while someone was watching your kids and had a drink?

Don't mind me, I just like a healthy dose of sarcasm with my speculation.

Yup. But didn't go on tour as a starving artist getting DUIs. Quit riding bulls and never bought that Harley either.

Hooked up with single moms after getting divorced, in some ways they've got it rough, if they don't have time for me, I'm not interested, if they have time for me it's because they're a shitty mom and I need to keep my seed away from it
