Damn, that's early. I don't think we'll get our first snow until the middle of next month at the earliest. I don't think this will be a good snow year though, how many times lately has NM had 2 good snow years in a row? Last year was damn good though

We drove through there the other year in mid-April on a sunny day. I-70 was clean & dry with over 6' of snow off the shoulder.
That pic doesn't surprise me too much as the pass is 10,666'.

It's been snowing off and on up in and around Jackson for the last week or so. I was doing backcountry skiing last year in the first week of October.

I've got a ton of hummingbirds all of a sudden in the past week. In my conversations with them, they say winter is coming early and strong and they were getting the fuck out early.

it was 97* today

Yeah, above treeline got a dusting Wednesday night. Really not unusual. Hell, above treeline in CO can pretty much get a dusting anytime, even mid-summer.

Mid-April is generally about peak snowpack time for the year.

Shit it’s 93 here at 7:30. Sun just went down and I’m still sweating. Just cleaned the a/c for the kennel because it wasn’t keeping up. I’m still not ready for it to be winter

I had a foot of hail at my place a month ago... and we got a dusting on Greens peak 2 days ago. Of course my place is right around 8k and Greens Peak is 10.1K

Gonna be a snowy winter me thinks.

I'm not on the highway in a semi anymore so I'm all for a pile of snow this year. Odds are however I will be clearing snow in a plow truck this winter so all the book smart morons can get on site in their prius and tesla parade. Bring on the white stuff. OT is calling!

We got about one inch of snow here last year and everything shut down.
It’s time for a great snow so I can build a snowman with my daughters.
The last time we got to do that was around 2008.
Bring it Mother Nature!
