Heartbeat City is a perfect pop album.

Didn't get to see the Cars until '87. By then they were not getting along and just going through the motions, and it showed on stage.

Some of Ocasek's solo stuff is good.

He was 75. It’s sad, but he passed the “too soon” mark.

And she's making a play
She can't go wrong
She never waits too long

She's winding them down
On her clock machine
And she won't give up
'Cause she's seventeen

She's a frozen fire
She's my one desire
And I don't want to hold her down
Don't want to break her crown
When she says

LET'S GO

You're right, I just hate admitting I'm getting old.

Didn't realize how many popular songs they had until I searched them up on youtube this morning. I'm more of a hard rock/heavy metal guy but I remember listening to them in my teens in the 80s and liking some of their songs.

I also didn't realize that the band had two lead singers. Always thought Ocasik was the main voice but some of their songs I liked were sung by Benjamin Orr (Orzechowski).

Cool band, but I don't idolize people so I'm already over it. Took about 3 seconds.
