Let your dog walk in front.
If she swells up like a water balloon it’s a rattler.
Ask me how I know.

I was bit on the wrist by a juvenile water moccasin and either from the snake or being bitten by a mosquito around the same time, was infected with encephalitis (they think western equine most likely)

so, the snake likely tried to poison me while envenoming me

(look up definition of envenoming)

Did you miss the ?
I used to work at a pet store that had a strong reptile and arachnid section. While I only really worked in the SW fish and corals section I would get sick of people saying did you see the poisonous spider? Or are lion fish poisonous? No but the are venomous. Several peopleI have talked to much smarter than I said as a basic rule and rules have exceptions,
poison is absorbed or consumed, venom is injected.

Either way.

Then I noticed one of the "soft shackles" had a head sticking out of it that was moving. I drove over every other "soft shackle" I saw for the next few days!

Dropped it off on the way home.

Up in the woods down off the side of a hill.

If I left it in the vineyard the messicans would likely kill it.

If I brought it home the cats likely would have gotten it.

I'm not a snake fan but they do serve a purpose.
