Recent Dash cams ?

Searched for dash cams and all the threads are several years old

I will be getting them for several vehicles
Might want ones that show each side for lane changes

Whose using em and which ones are you using ?
I know most of the reviews on websites are fake bot reviews , so looking for real world opinions

In for motorcycle recommendations if anyone has some.

Would like front and rear facing. Weatherproof. Low profile.

I have this one:

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It works for what I want it to do. Has good video day and night. My only complaint with it is that occasionally when the memory card gets full, rather than just loop back and record over old data, it forces me to reformat the card for it to continue taking new video. Mount is good, a/v quality is good, UI is reasonable, price is good. I've been using it about 18 months now, so good longevity.

You have any footage from that camera uploaded anywhere? I'd like to see the quality of it.

No, I have only pulled the memory card out of it one time to see if a vehicle that I was following matched a description of a vehicle posted on the news after the initial evaluation. The reviews section has several that are legit representations of the quality though.

This is what he said in the other thread " I'm using a BlueSkySea Mini0906 dual cam for the front and rear views and a B1W for the interior shot."

Check out the BlueSkySea DV688. About as low profile as you can get, and the main unit fits under the seat if you don't have everything else under the sun stuffed in there.

Here is a link to a short video:

Quality is good enough for me. Not as good as a 4k go-pro for sure.

Not front and rear, but I just picked this up, as a helmetcam.

https://www.amazon.com/Drift-Ghost-A.../dp/B07DGFYXTY

5 hour battery (8 hour if you get the extended battery), weatherproof (not put that to the test yet). Picture quality is decent enough. Audio is kinda meh, but most people make a windsock/muffle for the built in mike, or plug in an external mike.

I run this unit on all the cars/trucks. Works great, has a backup cap inside so if the car is hit/bumped the cameras kick on even if it is parked.

Hence my complaint. It is supposed to loop around and record new video over the old. Most of the time it does. I think it just gets a corrupt bit in there sometimes. If you read the questions and comments in the reviews, some people have the issue, others don't. You lessen the chances it appears by setting the shock sensor to it's lowest sensitivity. It's not enough of an issue to make me replace it though.

Are you using one of the high data transfer rate class 10 cards?
