I didn't know you were into demolition derby. Because those look like some pretty bad ass derby truck tires. But I usually just do tubes and don't bother to balance them.

I've bought tires from them and have had great results. I get 75% of the millage for half the cost.

Had said tired on a farm truck. Said farm truck was an old ton ford. Farm truck can forward burned to the ground. Remaining tires are now used on power units sitting in fields because they weren’t worth having on anything that actually was driven.

Thornbirds.the amazing side lugs give you enough traction that you don't don't lose traction even when the cords are showing. No need to recap except for cosmetic reasons. The burly carcass will survive running on the cords.

cheaper than treadwrights for 285/75/16 10ply's by $25/tire. I might be interested if I can make sure I don't get cooper casings.
I have a set of TW bfg at's on bfg casings that I've been very happy with. had them for 7 years now and they are almost worn out. Now that they do the b2b thing, I won't buy another set because of the chance I'd get a cooper casing.

Why don't you like cooper casings. I have their at3 xlt I think it's called in 285/75/18 on my truck and after running toyo, nitto, Goodyear, bfg, I think these are the best tires I have ever gotten.

A tread is going to peel off on the highway and you’re going to kill a van full of orphans.

Probably, I've lost tread before and the only thing that died was the fender.

everyone I know with new BFGs hates them and they cut sidewalls anytime they go off road.

Personal, family, and friends experiences.

I've seen too many BS problems with belts coming apart, wires sticking out of sidewalls like a porcupine, etc. Best example is my FIL had a 1.5 year old set of load range E discovers on his half ton gmt800 have the belts leave the carcass one at a time over the course of a few months. All four did it, dealer said he must have overloaded them. There is absolutely no chance he overloaded them. Replaced them with BFG A/T's that have been going strong for 5 years now without issue.

I'm sure everyone else has great luck but I have a terrible opinion of cooper tires. I've also spoke with people who have worked at cooper and they said (at least as of a few years ago) most of their R&D effort is reverse engineering other brands (mostly michelen and goodyear).

I put these on my Toyota last year, but not all that thrilled with them in the snow. They want to dig too much. They did work great in mud season.

So you won’t run coopers because you don’t want shit tires but you’re willing to run caps?

Based on my admittedly small sample size, I've had better luck with non-cooper casing treadwrights than new Coopers so yes.
