This is what "some rust" looks like in the UP

Went down to check out the yearly road salt delivery yesterday and on the way saw a guy half way through swapping a new fuel pump in his 03-07 gmt800. It's his daily driver, probably has it back on the road today.

Second salt boat for the year delivering another years worth of truck cancer.

My uncle told me about a couple of guys in the Phoenix area that had a small business going up there buying late model salt eaten vehicles with good running gear and mating them with AZ cars that had good bodies.

Why anyone would live in a salt ridden area I just don't understand. If you're into vehicles at all I'd be moving.

This is like Detroit poverty porn. I love how this is bad but the car in the background isn't so bad. Yea that truck is gone, but is an outlier up there. Everytime I go up there I constantly see cars from the 90's up there that have no business surviving if that post Y2k truck looks that bad.

Thatís why I moved to the south west. Ohio Department of Transportation dumped over 900,000 tons of salt on the roads during the winter of 2016.

The folks were unloading somewhere back east the foreman of the crew told dad he had his summer car and his winter car. His winter car had panels popped riveted on to cover the rust eaten panels

Your choices are either a desert (no thanks) or the south which is the only direction Iíll ever move. Just the south has miserable insects to deal with like fire ants and 3Ē+ long flying cockroaches.

The Salt Life in NY.... At least it forces residents to do bodywork, painting, engineering, welding, physics, etc

Here in CT that would be advertised as "solid frame, needs body work".

The summer and winter car thing always tripped me out being a California kid.

I'd travel out there in the summer and CEO's would pick me up in Porches/Lotus/Ferrari what ever. Come back in the winter and the same guy picks you up in a 1984 Ford escort with the floormats acting as the floor.
