I doubt you need any of it, Frank. Toyota DI motors squirt a little bit of fuel on the intake valves to prevent the carbon problems most carmakers have had. The Siennas I service don’t need brakes until 40-50k but YMMV.

I guess I’m really hard on brakes. My old van couldn’t go more than 10,000 miles without needing a set. I don’t drive much but when I do its 0 to 80 to 0 on the freeways around here. I got the brakes done and all the other stuff I refused. But they gave me quotes on it so I will post that in a second.

Items I turned down-

Mass airflow sensor service
$146.85

4 wheel alignment
$89.95

EFI service
$124.54

Doesnít say how much they wanted to clean injectors.

$90 for an alignment isnt bad.

But not needed at 25k unless you're a woman

I have a friend with the exact same car and she had her alignment done at 10,000. Ordinarily I would agree with you but I think when they lift the van and drop the sub frame they fuck up the alignment. Her steering wheel was like 15degrees off from the day she got the van. Mine is off but it is very slight. One of my caregivers says it has a pull but I don’t notice it driving with one hand. I usually only align cars if I hit something or get new tires. (Not counting Jeeps w/ bullshit can bolts)

Also my tires seem to be wearing pretty evenly.

seems like 150 could get you a whole new sensor, those are usually a 5 minute job on most cars

The Ford dealer said I might need an alignment at 15K on my car, I turned it down. The manual should tell you what Toyota recommends what when, doubt all that crap is in there.

That sounds like a whole lot of up sell for the labor to put in on the alignment rack and some chemicals. The sad thing is people fall for this shit all the time. My brother is car dumb and the crap they try on pull on him is pretty crazy, at least he knows to call me when it sounds too outlandish.

My 16 f550 is in the shop right now getting a tranny cooler. I hit a cone and cracked the weld in bung. Anyhow they called me today and said that it also has a slight oil seep. It could just be a pan gasket or the rear main. For $2800 they will just change the rear main which includes the pan gasket. That way I'll be sure to get it fixed... "um no thanks, I'll wait till it at least drips".

MAF service is high, lift the air cleaner housing and do it yourself, alignment I wouldn't worry about if tires are wearing good, caster is not adjustable on it, so the pull won't get fixed with it, efi service is the fuel injector cleaner, just pm at this point, if gdi, actually a good idea.

Bring me up to speed here.

Are you saying when they throw the car up on a lift to do an oil change, inspection, etc it messes up the lift?

Every alignment I've seen was done on a 4 post drive on rack.

Dropping a sub frame?

It’s a Braun wheelchair van. Braun cuts the floor out on lowers it 7 inches. They put a “body lift” on the front subframe to keep the floor from dragging. In some ways it a lifted and lowered vehicle. I figure that’s when the alignment gets f’d up.

You can see the extra height here. Normally the bottom of the door is basically the bottom of the van.
