Recently? Moved a 12.5' wide shed on a car trailer 9 miles. 9am Thursday is way deader than 6am Sunday. Drive faster and there's less traffic

Absolutely dumbest shit... when I was much much younger. A group of us would play a game we called "flip and ditch". We roll up on a motorcycle into UCSB, right next to a cop. Knock on the window, flip them off, and then take off. You won if you ditched them, lost if you ended up with a ticket.

Was all fun and games until one summer, a new guy joined the group of us. Was on a big CBR 1000, ended up dumping his bike when a truck pulled out of a driveway. Slid under it and removed most of his right arm, his right ear, most of his cheek flesh, jaw flesh, and a chunk of his hip bone. ...we quit that game after that.

In retrospect, it was a stupid fucking game to play. Guess we were lucky that is all that happened.

Ripped all the tags off my mattresses for years. Had a bunch of milk crates ignoring the warnings on them about them belonging to someone else. Put ketchup on hot dogs.Drove a forklift without fastening the seat belt. My wild days are past and I have mended my crazy ways.

In keeping with the Original Spirit of the OP's Post. I'll tell this long story.

Once drove my wifes Isuzu Trooper pulling an aluminum race car trailer to Georgia to pick up a Suzuki Samuri from an old friend there on the other side of Atlanta. Promised to take the wife to North Carolina to see her Momma before heading home with the Samuri.

Left my trailer at my buddies house, where the Sammy was, and took off to NC.

Had a nice 3 day visit.

On the way back to Georgia my freshly rebuilt 2.6L motor decided it had too many pistons in it.
So it spit one into the oil pan.

Called my Georgia Buddy and he came to South Carolina to retrieve us with his Tow dolly behind his Gen 2 V6 Trooper.

He got us to Georgia no problem, but now we were stuck in Georgia with no way home.
The Sammy didn't run.

My Cousin back in Texas had a 2000 Dodge TD 2500 Ram pickup she'd told me a month earlier she was thinking of selling. (Think Texas Pickup Driving, Horse Trailering Cowgirl)
(Her new Husband thought the Cummins was annoyingly too loud. She loved it.)
(He drove Fords)

So I called her up and struck a deal. Only she would have to wait until I got home to pay her for it.

Then I called a friend who was staying at my house living in my Motorhome while he got his EMT training done. He was from out of State and had the weekend off.

Asked him to meet my Cousin on the side of the highway near her house and get her pickup from her, then drive it to Georgia. He did. Didn't even bat an eye at the request!

While he was on his way after us, my Georgia Buddy took me car trailer shopping. Bought a nice 16' dual axle and then we proceeded to wire tail lights, brake wires and build a trailer hitch on the back of the new trailer.

We had the Samuri on the Aluminum Race car trailer (Single axle) and hitched it to the back of the 6000lb capacity dual axle trailer with the Wifes Trooper on it. All tied down with 3 inch car hauler straps.

My Buddy with my new Dodge drove up after midnight and we gave him 3 hours to rest before we headed back to Texas. We hooked up the Dodge and got our stuff packed so we could take turns sleeping in the back seat on the way home.

4:30 Am and we are off. Went through Downtown Atlanta at 5 AM no problem. Took me a while to acclimate to the weight and length. But we got it down pretty easy.

Drove straight through, back to the left side of DFW with only stops for food fuel and bathroom breaks. Just in time for my buddy to go to work on Monday to finish his last 3 days of EMT Training. And me to go to my job and work around High Voltage Power LInes with ony a 2 hour nap on the back seat of a quad cab pickup.

I still have the Dodge and car hauling trailer.

Oh, and the Cops never looked twice at us. We were running the speed limit and not causing any issues with the traffic flow. Just kept the pace with everybody else on the road. Hell, we had plenty of brakes. Both trailers had working electric brakes. The truck drivers bitched a lot at me for towing doubles, but the Police never bothered us. And I passed several.

I have a picture of it parked at a rest stop in Mississippi somewhere. I'll post it up if I can find it.

Woops, Another Novel! But a interesting adventure!

I love doing those trips. When I retired 4 guys I'd just met on the KLR 650 Forum did the Continental Divide Trail Ride. It took us 5 weeks and had a few drop outs along the way.
I finished it with one other guy from Texas. We started in Roswell, rode to Canada and then back down to Mexico, then back to Roswell where he and I parted company.

Tht was 10 years ago, and I'm still riding that KLR. 123K miles on it.
Would love to go explore Costa Rica.
