Inlaws had a new Enclave (maybe a 2010 or so). Ended up being a giant turd, and for whatever reason they bought another new one (2015?) Piece of shit too and they traded it in on a Highlander. It has only been two years but no issues so far.

This is what I was going to post, these motors have so many issues.

At the auctions they all go so damn cheap because they are a crap shoot.

I bought one this year, had to pay $3,000 to get the timing chains replaced on it before I could sell it (for a loss)

The newer Regals I have worked on had some European looking parts. Probably from opel?

If the cam chains on the 3.6 make it to 100k.

The tdi is cool. The junk it is wrapped in is not.

Yep, pure shit! Hey op, don't buy one with the 3.6. There was a rumour that a 2.0 was available, but I really doubt it as it wasn't an opel product.

Lighten up Francis

Rich,

I remember someone buying one from Miata.net forum.
One thing that was brought up: transmission shifting logic (struggling to keep car in the powerband/boost as it shifted way too early).

Seems it is a heavy car as well, at least for a two litter turbo engine, I'd say drive it like you stole it - see what your feelings are...

I had a 2014 Regal GS. Nice car.

I am thinking about a wagon, once I get some cash.

Wife has a fully loaded Outback premium that has been a fantastic car but she's gotten a taste for the good life so I took her to test drive a used GL450 and she was immediately in love. Made sure it was an ugly color so she wouldn't be tempted to impulse buy it and she still wanted to take it home.

CTS-V is my dream wagon.

Heard good things about the Tour-x. They are rather small in person though. I parked my behemoth of a wagon next to one at Costco a few weeks back and didn't realize how small they were until i pulled up right next to one.

But in general, i love my wagon. Won't be caught dead in a minivan. went camping and had all my gear in the back and still seating for 6.

the only thing I hear is about how you have to remove the engine to do most anything to turbos or timing components.

My wife has an e-tron wagon (it gets her in the carpool lane solo) and I was surprised how little interior room there is. The back seat is uncomfortable with a car seat in the center.

I'm looking at and willing to spring for the "essence" trim, but the prices are pretty reasonable on these as it doesn't seem like Buick is having much success selling them.
