It might have been. It was one in a series. Something about the free trade act hurt the ones on California and here came the ones from Mexico and further south. Water and money issues followed.

yeah that was it. killer fruit or some such.

not that CA hurt itself by (mis) managing water so that they could grow a water intensive crop in the desert as opposed to importing same from places that didn't have the same type of desert and water issues and actually had much better seasons for it.

but, ya know, if we just gave their government money then the government could just pay the farmers to not farm and everybody would be happy

Not terrifying, but not my cup of tea.

Ooowwwww. A travel ban. Followed up by a strongly worded letter to the editor?

Shock and awe against cartel strongholds. I am sure our military already has every stronghold identified.

HAHA! I didn't even see that. That dude is definitely not gay(I'm guessing it was a combination of where I was standing and him using his hands to talk), but I'm going to be using this picture for a long time to give him shit.

I was actually wondering the same thing. Looked it up, it's not banned federally, but all 50 states apparently aren't into that sort of thing. There were references to different laws that passed, but I couldn't find the reasons why. Would be interesting to know the history. From my point of view, they're not hurting me, so why not.

Polygamy is almost perfectly correlated with sexual abuse of children. With a 50/50 birth rate, the adult men run out of available women so they almost always turn to children. Regardless of religion, it always ends the same way. Kinda like bans on street racing. It's not the racing that's the problem. It's the crashes. The crashes are already illegal, but hard to stop without also banning the races. Literally the first Mormon was a pedophile. So it didn't take long in that religion to get started...

Still fellow citizens. No man left behind.

And they were not caught in a crossfire. Their vehicles were miles apart. This was a planned attack.

There are many examples of 'fundamentalist' XYZ religions advocating/participating in 'youthful marriages'. Not just fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (aka Morman).

Yes.

Hey, speaking of travel bans, remember when Americans had to travel through Canada to go to Cuba because you weren't allowed to go to Cuba? That was an effective deterrent.
