First bird flu, then swine flu, then Ebola, then Zika, now this looks like this will wipe out the last few thousand people left after all those previous outbreaks.

Ahahaha. Wife is preggo right now, so unless one of you guys has that fetish, it's not going to help.

I never thought I'd be saying this but our babysitter pool has nothing but super cool community college girls and I don't think I could bring myself to snag a creeper shot. Maybe I'm too old to feel like it's a good idea, or maybe I'm not old enough.... Or maybe it's the 102* fever talking.

Shit is getting serious folks.

The number of coronavirus infections has spiked, Chinese officials announced Saturday.

The pneumonia-causing illness that infects the respiratory tract was responsible for at least 41 deaths in Central China, with 15 new fatalities as of Saturday, and more than 1,370 cases, with 400 new cases identified by Chinese health officials. On Saturday, the trade association of Chinese travel agencies also said that it would suspend overseas tour groups and flight/hotel vacation packages for Chinese citizens, effective Monday.

But yes, it's caused by China being full of nasty people doing nasty shit. Anywhere you have humans in close proximity to animals without any sanitation you get nifty diseases that break the species barrier.
I think too many people clustered together in less than ideal conditions creates the perfect climate for a plague. No animals needed.

And those are just the ones they know about and or reporting about. Asian governments are known to cover up anything that makes them look bad!
John Ringo's book the "Last Centurion" came out in 2008, at the time it looked like the Hildabeast had the Dem. nomination sewn up. So when the Bird flu had mutated to where it could be passed to humans and we were hit by the beginnings of a little Ice age with an batty female as president...

Has anybody heard what the incubation period is?

It's the period between exposure to an infection and the appearance of the first symptoms.

California has recorded its first confirmed case of the new strain of coronavirus, arriving in Orange County by a traveler who visited from the epicenter of the outbreak in Wuhan, China.

The Orange County Health Care Agency confirmed late Saturday night that the infected person’s virus was the same strain as the one that has spread to more than 2,000 people in 14 countries and territories and caused 56 deaths since it was discovered late last month in central China. Two other cases have been diagnosed in the U.S., one in Washington state and one in Chicago.

The patient is in good condition and is in isolation at a hospital, Orange County health officials said. Health authorities are following up with anyone who has had close contact with the patient, but also noted that people with casual contact — such as visiting the same grocery store or movie theater — “are at minimal risk of developing infection.”

“The risk of local transmission remains low,” officials said. While officials were waiting to hear lab confirmation of the virus, the patient was instructed on how to reduce exposing the virus to others.

Authorities also added there is no evidence that the virus has been spread by the traveler to other Orange County residents.
