Meh. I have had to change out plenty of buss bars. Newer and 50+years old. The vast majority are alum. Residential and apartment building primaries.
The bussing in my current building 480v/3ph is all alum.

Wife's mother has that exact set, or something damn similar. And every year, without fail, one of the "candy canes" gets decorated like a dick. A ginger bread man also gets a dick drawn on him too.

Looks like the ram is bending during the lift, but I can't figure what would bound it up like that?

Sorry for the lack of embed. I'll fix it tomorrow with real computer(r) if someone else doesn't.

Found a 2yr old Reddit thread on it, all dumb except one reply that suggested the pins could be bound up from wear+overloading and introduce a bending moment. The ram looks bowed to me.

Is that just a giant hydraulic cylinder stuck under pressure seems there has to be a better way to release the pressure.

My guess would be that they put a little air pressure in there to help it out. The residual fluid in the cylinder is what is sprayed out

We have rebuilt hydraulic rams with some fiber vee packing and they are tight when you assemble or disassemble them. I use air to blow them apart and it is violent like that.
