Too fat and winded to move that last foot.

We had a guy get hit by a train last year while e walking on the tracks with his back to the mile long train.
Story I got was he had headphones on and they think he may have not heard the train blowing it's horn right behind him.

I was in my shop a mile and a half away and I heard the train whistle. Fact is those Wyoming coal trains rattle the ground when they make that crossing.

My buddy, the cop who worked the scene, said they used a bucket and mop to clean the guy up.
Said he was ground up into hamburger.

I think the guy committed suicide by train.
He had a reputation for mental instability issues.

Hell of a way to die if you ask me.

Sad.

This traumatized a lot of teenagers around here a few years ago.
Girl dropped her cell on tracks and tried to pick it up before the train got there.
My daughter didn't know her, but her best friend's family were friends of her family (little sisters on the same travel soccer team).
I still see JB stickers (in her memory) on cars.

I lived in Toronto back in the late 70’s and there was a set of railroad tracks right behind the apartment building I lived in. One day 5 or 6 kids, I remember the oldest was nine, walked straight up the tracks into a train, all of them died. The trains horn was blaring and witnesses said the kids just kept walking with their heads down.

Our train tracks here have been defunct since ‘97. With all crossings still intact and such, I’ve caught myself ignoring tracks out of town over the years carelessly a few times. Like stopping on the tracks at a signal.

We had some of those where I used to work. I used to be able to get all the upper class ladies all fired up when I'd say over my cube to one of the other guys "hey, looks like the turkeys are back, too bad the break room doesn't have an oven or we could go get one and have it for lunch"

Seemed like the throttle stuck when he goosed it, or he braced against the accelerator. Tough hole.

Video edit fail. Lose the first 8 minutes of that 9 minute video, slightly more enjoyable.

a perfect example of private individuals and businesses being much more effective at aiding those in need than government.

What could they possibly charge him with? Sounds like a corrupt police force in addition to government ineptness.

You are fortunate to live in one of the few countries left where you can embarrass your own government and not be dis-appeared.

There wouldn't be any "charges" or "trial" in PR.
