Are they available?

Hey there everyone!
I have a 1973 IH Loadstar 1600 with the 345 with 2 barrel carb and the carb is in need of replacement.
Question is, where can I find a decent aftermarket 4 barrel intake manifold for this engine and maybe gain a little more torque and horsepower?
I use the truck to move houseboats so maybe a site that offers options/add ons for these motors would be helpful too.

Thanks in advance!

Binderplanet.org

There was only one source of aftermarket manifolds, they offer no performance advantage and are very expensive. Stick with the 2 barrel.
A 345 is what it is, just use it.

I've been doing a lot of searching and found exactly what your saying....Nothing. lol

I did find some used stock 4 bbl manifolds on E-bay but not with any performance improvements and after shipping, more expensive than I wanted to go to just use more fuel.

Ordered a NEW Holley 2300 this morning and should be here Wednesday.

Thanks for the reply!

They only went to 4 barrel carbs for emmisions reasons in the mid to late 70s.

RPT makes the aluminum intake and about all you lose is 450 bucks and 30 lbs.

Heck up here in Canada they never sold any IH engines with 4 barrels on the scouts etc. We didn't have any emmisions regs until the 80s.
