Holy Shite! That is looking hella kwel, dude! I like the idea the removeable seats. Be like sitting on a sofa around the campfire. Good thinking!

I knew I recognozied those seats! I have the same damn ones - with the same broken plastic side cover.... They are the most comfortable seats in my fleet - even better than the seats in my wifes new car, , you'll like them.

LOOKS GOOD! It looks like you'll make March 4th for a shake down - and be ready to roll for Cali. after that.

I love super troopers!

Got tis done on monday but just now had time to post up. Here is the seat base loosely installed. I was kinda joking about pulling it out for camp chairs. Its a pain to get in and out cuz its got tight tolerances. Plus, the seats weigh 35lbs each. It would get pretty unweildly trying to move them around.

Here it is with the seats in.

Again, this was monday. I got the cage bolted to the floor today. Fully welded at all joints now. floor is painted. I need to wel on the belt tabs and space my seat up a smidge with a washer or two, then they can be bolted down for good. All the cage has left for now is the roof 'X', the expanded metal going on over that (roof rack of sorts) and the frame tie ins, i'll add door bars later.

Diesel smoke is coming over saturday to help install the FI parts while I port my steering box and install.

Just ran your 4 cyl chip on my V8!!!

Idles at 400rpm but the laptop says it's at 800!!

No errors or fault codes tho!!!
I'll get it out as soon as I can...

When you can afford it...upgrade to the EEPROM adapter and buy a burn one from Moates($85). Then I can just send you the files!!! (or start to play yourself!)

Strangely enough, those Broken Lizzard dudes have just about got the Cop thing nailed...that is, except for the pot smokin' and taking prisoners home for sex.
That sort of thing did happen, but it was more like 20 or 30 years ago...

"Who wants a mustache ride???"

"I do, I do!!!"

I know guys that match just about all the Troopers in that movie (from the Captain on down). I like to think of myself as a caucasian Ramathorn (although I look more like Farva). I have yet to use the 'cat game' though.

Its Tic,Toc.

Me saying that to Bill is wrong as I am THE true king of NO progress!! Guess I got a little impatient when a SOA or FI conversion he did took more than a few hours.

I am kinda disappointed in the lack of updates/progress of the newest wheeler in his stable though.

Its not that bad. IIRC there are only like 30 wires and about 6 or so is a ground.

Most guys have that many wires in there stereo systems and it doesnt seem to bother them.

Its just wires!! Point A to B.

Your progress with this project is second only to Bill's builds!! Do you sleep either??

Keep wrenchin!

I already FI'd the 196 in the comp truck. It took lots of help and lots of time. I'm hoping I learned something and can bang this one out in less than a year

I work graveyard and I have an uncanny knack for getting by on 3hrs of sleep for weeks. Ever see the 'sienfeld' episode where Kramer slept for 45 minutes and was a wake for 4 hrs, on a rotation? Thats me.

A little more done today. Mandy got the drive shafts in and the front hubs/rotors ready for bearings. I ran fuel lines, installed the pump/filter, stared at more wires, and generally felt helpless reading the wire pinouts over and over.
