need help...1971 800b info

hey yall im new to the ih scene. yes im an F.N.G. i just bought a 71 800b and the trannys frozen in 2nd and 3rd.... Q: is what trannys can i put in the truck, ih or others.... also what motors are an easy swap this one has the 196 cid. any info would be helpfull, also good places to get parts iv been searching the internet and havent had a lot of luck thanks

thanks for the help guys i'v been looking thru the binder site and got some useful info..... still need a tranny... and i aint no good at rebuilding so the serch goes on

Duh, thaw it out.

I'm gonna assume it's an auto? Which one? You sure the shifter linkage isn't fawked up? What do you mean by "frozen"?

i'v only had a 10 min look at it as the sun was going down... so until it get it here tomorrow or wed when i can get a better look at it i'll tell you what i know it's a 1971 800b appeared to be a 196 not the 150 something and felt like a 3 speed ha atleast i coulndt find a 4 gear??????
