I dunno.. think you can max it?

I knew I wanted it to be "big" and not have to build a second one bigger because someone maxed it out.

I started with "20' length of steel, so where can I bend it to make a 30-deg slope.."

and it worked out to ~12' OAL and 7.5' tall.

It wasn't until I first lifted the driving section of the ramp up to start welding it at an angle to the base that I realized just how freakin' tall 7.5' was.

Then I did the math and figured out there won't be many rigs that are wide enough to even consider maxing a 7.5' tall ramp, and those that do will be scrubbing a sidewall on the ground and the inner sidewall on the ramp.

But by then it was too late.

Good news is, I doubt I'll have to remove the tires or A-arms when ramping rigs on it.

No one's gone more than 8' up the ramp yet (it's ~15' along the driving ramp), so the tires/A-arms can stay in place (tilted/canted up/in, of course) when in use - but it does mean it's about twice as big as it should've been.

Fire up the dirt bikes Tom. That would make a sweet ramp. Call up Travis Pastrana, double back flip anyone?
