Ah, come on. It wasn't that bad. The three of us slept on the car trailer without a tent. Just a little scurf of frost until the sun came up and turned the sleeping bag into a sauna.

I dunno, I may go. Phil thinks he will.

He and I got the broken spindle and stub shaft replaced on the front last summer, and installed a full-floater kit for the rear axle. He took it to Naches in 2009. (I never rode with him on that outing, so I don't know how it is. By the time I got there, it was late on Saturday, so missed most of it. I rode in my old Scout with Jenn Sunday morning and then left.) I believe all he needs to do for this trip is replace an exhaust pipe on one side so he isn't breathing fumes.

Phil wheeled all day Saturday last year. He even did it with no rear shocks, that thing was hopping around like a jack rabbit.

I love wheeling with Phil. Everytime its an adventure and a great story. Plus, he's sort of my brother.

He and his Scout are Rubicon tested and Rubicon approved. That was an EPIC adventure and still a great story.... but we aren't related.

So, a little clarity here.

1. September 17, 18, & 19, right? I heard from someone tonight that it may be the same weekend as the IHSTO camping trip to Bend.

2. Are we meeting at the same camp site we were at last year? Or a different location? Perchance someone could post the directions?

Yep same weekend as the IHSTO trip. Life is full of hard choices. As "Captain" of the IHSTO i'm not going to weigh in on which one you should go to.....But I know where I'm going to be.

Campfire ban is in effect, so don't plan on roasting any weenies or marshmellows.

This run could have major changes for next year so make it this year if you can......Looks like by this time next year there will be a 72" width restriction at Naches which puts most of us wheeling elsewhere.

TSF is generally unlimited. There are a few trails that have a 78" (I think) limit (which I exceed...).

I broke my transmission over the weekend, I have no reverse. I'm not sure yet how this will effect me for this trip but when I know for sure I'll post up. Most likely the transmission will need to come out which is a major deal for my rig. If this is the case I don't think I would have time to fix it before the Naches run so I would have to choose between wheeling in forward gears only or fix the rig and ride with someone else.......I'll drop the pan this week and see if I'm lucky and can fix it while installed.
