did you decide on drivetrain? I know you already made your front axle, but if youre trying to save weight i'd go with a samurai divorced transfercase.

1.7:1 in high range
6.5:1 in low range

I run Suzuki 2.3L/samurai 5 speed/samurai case in a cj5 that is 2840lbs w/ half tank of fuel on 35s

Could you take better pics of the coilover mount and any bracing you did on the engine bay side?

Action Fab, you have anymore update pics of your build? Trying to get motivated to put my 1 tons under my xj but might wait until wheeling season is done.

What you see is where I'm at still. I've been busy building a huge 4x4 church bus into a RV and helping my friend build a Toyota thing. My plan is to dig the ol' cherocar out before the end of the month.

Boogs, what interests you about it? Gianni has a build thread on here for his. After I wrap up my XJ I'll dig the YJ skinned Tomahawk back out and finish it. I think I have most everything I need except driveshafts and some heims.

I'm always interested in watching builds and getting ideas, plus I try to learn from everyone's mistakes so I only need to do things once. Doesn't always work out for me that way though.

Put the front suspension together today. 200 over 300 coils didn't work out too well. Completely collapsed the 200 rate. Maybe it will work better with the Saturn engine. Burned in all the suspension mounts. Made a temporary track bar mount and used a stock jk panhard. It will hit the oil pan if I tried to wheel it. But there's plenty of room at ride height. Used the factory JK steering with 3" cut out of the drag link. That will get redone too.

It moved under it's own power to it's new resting place.
