I ordered a 3/8th thick clocking ring last week for my Atlas from Northwest Fab and it just showed up. I am hoping to flatten out the clocking of the t-case to gain some more ground clearance with it. Hopefully I will have enough spline engagement with the ring too. I need to get back down to the shop to work on the Jeep.

I also dropped my present off to the guys the day before Xmas... I think they liked their new grill I bought for the shop. It's pretty bad ass. Hamburger and steak Saturdays, here we come.

Not done yet. I am waiting on my front TJ frame kit from MADMAC here on PBB so I can finish the front stretch. I was hoping to hear from last week about a ship date for the kit... waiting patiently. Once that gets here we should be able to wrap up the front suspension, steering and do the front/rear coilovers. Still got a long long ways to go and I don't think spring time at Big Dogs is in the cards at this point. I'm going to be another Dookey's Revenge build and take 5 years probably! :-(

So where do you stand with this? Still building or parting it?

The Jeep is starting to see some more progress again finally. It's been stalled for quite sometime. Life happens, things change and sometimes projects take a back burner.

I've enlisted Level IV Concepts to help me finish up the suspension and cage work. I've also enlisted Broadview Automotive in Bealeton, VA to fully rebuild my LQ4 LS motor, tear it down and put all new seals in it, clean the block, dress it up, paint it and install the cam, new AutoMeter Pro Comp II gauges and then dyno tune the motor.

I am picking my motor up on Friday to take to the motor shop and hopefully it will be back by the end of the month and in the Jeep.

I ordered some parts this week...

Got two front PRP seats coming with ass warmers in extra wide, a matching rear PRP seat, 5.3 harnesses for the front, 5.2 harnesses for the rear and some AutoMeter Pro Comp II gauges with all the LS install accessories needed.

Good choice on the seats. You will be happy. Glad to see this come back to life. Hope to see you out there soon.

Hi Mac, it's in progress right now. My motor is done and I pick it up Friday to put back in the Jeep. Then we are finishing up the front frame kit and starting the cage next week. I almost gave up on it as it seemed to never make any real progress and the progress that was made needed to be redone. The front suspension has been completely redesigned with better geometry and bigger links.

I will post some pics of the frame stuff soon.

Here is my motor!

Marc is working on Mac's front frame kit this weekend. Should be ready early next week.

Once the front frame kit is in place then we start the cage in the Jeep finally.

I am also picking up my new enclosed trailer next week in GA. road trip for me. If anyone needs something down that way and brought back up along the I95 corridor to the DC area, hollar!

I bought it from AutoMeter direct. They make the TJ panel that's a direct fit.

Marc got the front frame kit all assembled and welded up to the Jeep. It's sexy for sure and well worth the wait. Mac makes a quality product for sure.

Glad to see your back on this. Very surprised Mac didn't sell more of those front half kits. They look real nice.

Here is a better shot of the motor.

LQ4 6.0 with a Tick Performance Elite Series cam, SLP polished intake, Holley polished LS valve covers, 102 mm polished drive by wire throttle body and a few other goodies. I'm not much for bling unless it's under the hood. The shop that built the motor thinks it should be right about 460 HP or so as it sits.

Glad to see it moving along. Any chance you will wheel this year? I would love to see it on the trail.

I am really hoping so. After the long stand still last year, I am ready for it to be done. All my help that's working on the project is busy so it gets a limited amount of attention.
