CJ unlimited, or LJ7 build

Okay gonna start my build thread finally. Starting with an 84 cj7.
Gonna extend body and frame 14 inches in rear. Gonna move back the rear axle 10 inches, I'll lose some departure angle for now, but I may move it back more when I link the rear. For now the rear will be sprung over with relocated spring hangers and shackle mounts to give it a flat frame rail. I have some 14" coilovers for the front. It is getting 3 linked. Also got 60s, 4.88s, a Detroit and an elocker. Plan is to run 37s fairly low. Also got a Howell fuel injection setup for the 4.0

I cut off 3.5 inches. Other than the tube, I won't be running fenders for now. Later on I may build some removable ones for the street.

Why not just extend the frame in front of the leaf spring mount? That way the tire stays lined up with the fender.

Couple reasons.
1 to move my tank away from the axle to fit the big ass 60 diff.

Yes I am on a budget so a slick gen right isn't in the works for right now.

2 it allowed me to move my hangers up so that I don't get 7 inches of lift from the spring over.

3 it makes my frame flat on the bottom. You'll see when I get to those pics
