YJ Frame Repair at Rear Shock mounts

The nice little pocket that collects water where the rear shock mounts are welded to the frame has created a rust hole in the frame. Obviously I need to cut off the mounts and repair the frame, I just didn't know the best way of doing it.

I searched a bit and say somebody used angle iron (which looked like crap) and another used 13 ga. sheet metal bent in an L shape and just welded it flush.

Anybody have any other suggestions?

4wd hardware has them cheaper, but being on my phone I can't find them.
