CRT HEI Distributor for 258 (Good / Bad Feedback ?)

Hi, I want to upgrade the ignition on my CJ7 (258 L6) with a HEi distributor.
I read a lot of bad feedback on those CRT units they sell on ebay, mainly because it seems that the distributor gear tends to "eat" the cam gear. However, all the bad comments are 4,6,8 years old and I haven't found recent info.
Does anyone knows if CRT addressed that problem and changed the material of their distributor gear ?
Their add on ebay says "Correct drive gear, wont destroy your cam gear", but I'm looking for real world experiences.
Yes, the DUI is a nice option, but it cost double.

Any input will be appreciated.

SV

I have the DUI unit in my 258, and to be honest after about 15,000 miles I was pretty disappointed. The poly bushings in the weights had been ate through and one of the springs was broken along with premature wear. Maybe I just drive my stuff hard but I thought it should last longer than that. I was able to put a new set of weights, springs, and bushings in it, seems to be working well again. I believe Summit racing sells one of there "Blue Printed" HEI distributors for the 258 for a really reasonable price, if I was doing it again thats probably the route I would go. My favorite thing about the DUI ignition is the plug wires, they are really really nice but I doubt I would ever spend the coin to buy another distributor from them.

**Edit** If your just worried about the gear, call a reputable distributor company and just buy a gear from them and swap it onto whatever distributor you decide to purchase. Shouldn't be more then 10 bucks

I've been running the crt in my yj for a while. It works great. No problems to report. I installed it and got the timing set. Haven't touched it since. That was over 2 years ago.

*edit* I bought mine directly from crt. The cheaper ones on ebay are not crt. http://www.crtperformance.com/crt/

Thanks for the inputs. Finally I pulled the trigger for the CRT.
Hopefully they fixed the problem...if not, and it eats my cam gear, I will just speed up the LS swap
