Pattern Check




What you guys think? This is the first pattern I ran, backlash is at .008, on the bottom tooth it almost looks like the pinion depth is too low but I haven't done this before so I'm not too sure

To me it looks like the pattern was taken without much resistance to set a clear pattern. Your backlash is good. In the second picture, the tooth all the way to the right looks good but the others are inconsistent making it hard to read. I would say to re-run it with more resistance to better define the pattern. From what I can see though it appears that you are fairly close.

Here you can see what I'm talking about....the pattern is pretty easy to read and has diffuse edges.
