Hard clunk on braking

Hey guys figured someone on here might know what's going on or have experienced something like it.
so last night driving home everything seemed fine and i didn't notice anything weird. Get ready to go to class this morning and as i pull out of the driveway i hit the brakes and there is a jarring clunk and it stops hard. pulled it back into the driveway to look around and the only thing i can find is a slightly squished control arm bushing but having dealt with those before i can tell it's not that.
any ideas?

I would address the control arm bushing first. It doesn't seem to hard.

Ive had my control arm bushing so worn out you could rock the axle back and forth. I first noticed it while coming to a complete stop.
