CJ-7 5.3/4L60e/Dana300 swap questions

Does anyone have any pics of their 4L60e mounted to a dana 300? I have a novak conversions 4l60 to 300 adaptor, and i’m trying to see how people clocked the t-case. I would also like to hear if anyone kept the stock crossmember to mount the trans to. Thank you in advance!

You can keep the stock skid to mount the trans/tcase to, but I wouldn't. It's a weak, stamped steel pos on it's best day. IIRC you have to notch it for front driveline clearance and once you've done that it folds like a noodle. Of course any turd can be polished but you'd be better off fabbing something else out of square tube or round tube if you have a tube bender or a friend with a bender.

Can't help on the D300 clocking question. No personal experience on that one.

Too cold to work on the swap this week, but back at it next week. Any pics of your 4L60 to Dana 300 would be much appreciated!

Not sure if it will help you. I've got the 4L60E & D300, along with a Klune, in my CJ-7. The Jeep has a 2-piece front driveshaft to fix clearance issues.
