Ok, I am going to outboard my shocks on the rear of my LJ, I am going to use the barnes towers, what length should I get, they have a 15.25 and a 17.75, It will be a 4" suspension lift and 12" stroke shocks...

What is the compressed length of the shock you want to use?

Unless you have a very odd shock either will require that you shorten them.

FWIW, Iran fox 12 inch coil overs on my synergy shock brackets. They eventually made a taller bracket for 14s. Everybody seems to copy their brackets. 14s are tall, 12s are short. But if you run a conventional shock you may need an even shorter bracket.

I'm 90% sure my Walker Evans are 12" shocks and here is the original Poly shock towers. I got one of their first sets they sold in 2005. You can see how much I had to cut off.

Definitely buy the shorter ones. I fairly certain the ones I made were just over ~12"

It is a air bag suspension system made by Off-Road Only called the AiRock. They started out making them for the TJ and now make them for the JK & JL. It replaces your coil springs with air bags in either a 4" or 6" lift. It is computer controlled so it self levels when driving so if you have a trailer hooked up or a heavy load in the rear. It has an on road set height and then an off road height. When doing side hills you can roll the body of the Jeep to the uphill side. Or when climbing hills or going down ledges you can raise or lower the front or rear.

It isn't for everyone and isn't as flexy as coil overs but for me it works.
