94 yj 4.0 mpi in 87 yj vss problems

So my 87 yj uses a cabled speedometer and after 92 they went to an electronic speedometer. Everyone just says to run a 91 yj vss with a thread adapter for cable hookup. Heres the problem. Ever since jeep made fuel injection the vss used reed signals but in 94 they went to the hall signal. Sure you can buy a 2 wire - 3 wire adapter but that just eliminates the extra wire and doesn't fix the problem. My 94 computer can only read the hall signal, so I've tried to sell/trade my ECM for a 91-93 ECM but I can't get anyone to buy it and the ECMs are already expensive enough. So at this point, I think I'm going to convert to an electronic speedo, but I don't have the dash harness so I have no idea what wires go to the speedo. At this point, I'm looking for a solution to keep my cabled speedo and somehow run a hall vss or a wiring diagram for the 94 harness speedo. If anyone can help shed light on this it will be greatly appreciated. I've thrown a lot of money into this MPI system and have spent months trying to get it perfect. It is going on my daily.

Have you tried Hesco Performance? Speed Sensor #HES7015 is that what you're looking for.

I’ve talked to hesco and it’s literally a 91 yj speed sensor with a thread adapter. Way over priced and won’t fix my problem because it uses reed signals. I called hesco and he said they don’t carry any vss at all that use the Hall effect.

The 2 wire reed switch does indeed work with the newer pcm. All it does is pulse ground to the pcm. You don't use the 5 volt supply that the Hall effect sensor needs when you wire in the 2 wire sensor.

I'm running the 91 sensor on my '82 CJ-8 with a 95 SBEC, been working now for 20 years.
