Fog Lights (98 Wrangler)

Okay so I bought this wrangler. The fog lights are there, but the wiring harness that attaches them to the jeep itself seem to be missing, either that or its disconnected from wherever it goes..

Do they connect to a harness or is it a direct connection into a Hardpoint already there?

Should be the wiring harness there that they plug into. If not, you can buy a cheapo fog light kit with relays and switch.

Actually ive already got the switch, its the factory switch on the dash.

The problem is finding the part of the harness it connects into...

I guess it comes out of the fusebox somewhere...

you could always go out and buy the technical service manual for your tj. it will give you the wiring schematics plus also some other useful info on your rig. well worth the cost.

If the wrangler came from the factory with fog lights then there should be a plug that comes out under the front parking lights on the fenders to connect to the fog light. If the fog lights were added afterwards, then it should have an overlay harness. There is no way of knowing where the previous owner decided to tie this harness back at. Or the previous owner could have bought the lights and the switch with the intentions of getting the harness at a later date.
