which 3-4" lift for an XJ

Trying to help my buddy out who doesn't really know much of anything on automotive shit. And i have no clues on the requirments on the parts need for lifting a unibodied jeep. his is a 99 XJ with the 6 popper and auto. JCW had the 3.5" rough country for 119 bucks which i assume is a typo? Even though it only sells for 245 on rough countries site. This won't be wheeled hard at all, mainly street driven.

Regardless of being wheeled hard or not you shouldn't cheap out on suspension parts.
Check out Rubicon Express.

He doesn't plan on wheeling hard now until he starts then he'll be addicted. I'd look to RE also.

yea, i don't think that will ever happen. He's more of the type that you would see around town witht he cleanest rig (with not a single dent or scratch) but all this badass shit on it. I can't convince him to even play in the mud with me, he wants to know what will happen if his winch won't get him out, that he hasn't even unspooled a layer off yet.

Tell him to get a hot rod.. This guy is a joke. Not wheeling a built up rig is like waving steak in front of hungry wolves. Just Dumb.

personally i think hes a jackass...if a jeep isnt wheeled, its might as well be a chick car or mom mobile...

now
from experience, id go with the RE 3.5 superflex. Great quality suspension that fits 31s perfectly. However i will say i will eventully be going bigger because thats just the natural thing to do. But sounds like the 3.5 inch lift is right for this bro cuz if you go any bigger you need to do a SYE kit/CV driveshaft upgrade which ends up being about $500. So if he really wants a mall crawler tell him to stay small or buy a different vehicle.
