A stock chevy saginaw car pump generally puts out betwwen 750-900 PSI, depending on application. A stock fullsize 4x4 chevy pump puts out 1200 PSI. If you hot rod the pump a bit you can get it up to around 1500-1600 PSI. Technically, the pump output on that engine may not be what the factory called for, but it will work. If it dosen't cut it, you can rework the pump. It's not hard to do yourself if you know what you are doing and how the pump works, but if you're not willing to do it yourself you can send it out. I recommend Tom Allen from PSC. I use some of his products on our rock buggies and they are top notch.
