transfer case leak

Ok, I'm an extreme newbie. Might be better measured in terms of hours.
I just bought a 93 yj sahara. It appears to have a 2 in suspension lift, parts by black diamond. Everything seems to be in pristine condition except for one thing.

There looks to be a very slow (3-4 drops a night max) leak coming off the transfer case. Fluid is very clear (slight tan) and is greasing up the guards a little. I'm not sure if this is a "keep it topped off" type thing, a fix it (yeah right, budget is dead), or a I'm screwed thing. it's been off road for about 15 min and if anything smelled a little (very little) hot upon return to the pavement.

I have no idea what I should be expecting at this point.

Advice needed badly and hey take it easy on the new guy if these questions are as stupid as I'm afraid they might be.

Thanks

Is the drip coming from the front or rear of the T-Case?

seems to be coming from up near the front where it connects to the transmission. Not sure exactly where though, it seems to be originating from right in the middle of the dang skid plate and it's a little hard to tell. (in all honesty I'm only barely sure I'm using the correct words to describe this.
