D35 stock gear ratio 3.55 or 3.73 ??

I'm trying to figure out which is the stock gear ratio on a 94 YJ. I've googled it, went thru pages and pages on this forum searching for the right answer with no luck.

I'm upgrading to a larger size tire from stock and want my speedometer to read correctly, but buying a speedo gear is becoming more complicated than it should be.

Can anyone help me with this?

You have several possibilities. See if you have a tag under one of the front or rear diff cover bolts.
If not, just roll the vehicle exactly on revolution of the tire and count how many times the pinion yoke goes around. I.E. approx. 3 1/2 times = 3.55, 3 3/4 times = 3.73. Make sure you have BOTH tires turn one revolution when counting.

Google says this:

I4 Automatic - 3.73:1
I4 Standard - 4.10:1
I6 Automatic - 3.54:1 (normally)
I6 Standard - 3.07:1, 3.54:1 or 3.73:1

Originally, my '94YJ had 3.07's in the D35 it came with.

My I6 auto has 3.07s..

Email jeep with your VIN, they can get a build sheet for you.

It's a I6 manual. Thanks to all of you for your replies. These are the same uncertain answers I came accross. But I will try the tire rotation method since the jeep is sitting on a lift and email jeep anyway.

You don't have the tag on the rear diff anymore?
