I got outta the Jeep the other day and when I did, I jammed the stupid turn signal lever into the column, now the signals don't work at all, but the wipers still can actuate.
I replaced the turn signal switch, now the levver (that has the wiper control on it) doesn't work, just hangs there...
I've replaced the one you're talking about when my signals didn't work, let me look around for the bag it came in. Can't think of the name for it off the top of my head.

I have to mail order the parts, so I wanna get an idea of which part I'll need to get them to function again. Any idea which part could have been broken when the turn signal lever got jammed into the column?
If your wipers are still fine then that means your wiper switch (what the level pops into) is OK. So you either broke the arm that connects the turn signal switch to the wiper switch or you did something to the turn signal switch, which sits on the column around the shaft. Best bet is to just dig in there and see what you did. A steering wheel puller is really the only "special" tool you might need. Not too hard to do, you can break it down and put it back in about an hour.
But now the turn signal lever just hangs there. It doesn't click up or down, just hangs. I'm wondering if there was a broken piece in the column that used to actuate the turn signal arm. The only thing I can get the lever to operate now is the wipers and the hi/low beam switch.
Does anyone have a pic of what the turn signal arm should look like in the column(under the turn signal switch)?
The website is working on a CJ column, so the levers are different. Great link though!!!
