Fuel cell TJ

O.K. I know the "fuel cell in a TJ" discussion has been beat to death here but I have another question. I am backhalving mine and want a fuel cell but the one everyone is using (don't recall the part #, it's the long skinny one) I do not like. Is there another tank the same depth that is more square like a regular fuel cell that will work with the stock pump? I don't need a ton of capacity but at least 10 gallons would be nice. The websites I have looked at so far do not list dimensions but what I am worried about is enough surface area on top to mount the fuel pump assembly. If anyone has used a smaller tank with a TJ pump let me know with pics if possible. Thanks.

It will need to be the same height as the 2161A that a lot of people are using due to the size of the pump. So basically you are looking for that but just narrower? What is the minimum capacity you can deal with?

summitracing.com has just about every RCI cell you could want in any shape, size and color. And yes....they give dimensions.

Click on my link and look under current projects. I have a 19 gallon fuel cell.

I agree, the RCI cells from Summit Racing are well built and easy to install.

What about Blue Torch's? The offer a Fuel Cell with skid plate that says it will clear with a 6" rear stretch? Anyone used this?

Im trying to make a rear stretch street legal but the biggest problem I'm running into is the walk around and gas tank part of the inspection. If I relocate my stock filler and use their Cell it should work, right? what am I forgetting?
