Question Clunking Noise Question!

(2003 wrangler 6cyl 5spd 40k miles)

ok so i have this bad clunking noise when i hit bumps at low speed and if i really nail something like a pot hole at high speeds. i have jumped up and down on the bumper and pulled and tugged on every part under the frontend and nothin! Finally yesterday i grab the front drive shaft and BINGO! it was really moving around a lot! up at the CV joint or whatever that is with the 2 u-joint it was really shaking around. cant tell yet if it is the u-joints or if there is a bad bearing or something in the t-case. is there a common problem there???? would that be my clunking noise????? does that drive shaft ever spin in 2wd????
