skid from boat side to frame???

I've got some rocker rot,

and I'm thinking about just cutting them out and going to boat sides.
however, doing boat sides would make the body mounts even more exposed, so I was thinking about a removable(so I could still access the body mounts) skid to go from the boat side, down to the botton edge of the frame.
Is there enough flex in the body mounts to cause problems with hard mounting a skid from the body to the frame?

relocate the body mounts to the inside of the frame, then mount the skids to the body al the way to the frame with a 1/4" gap
