Looking good. How difficult is it to source parts down there?

Pretty darn difficult, even more when you want to up grade your axles...D60, overhere, just from F-250/350 and the rear one...if you wanna find a front D60, few units and costing gold.

But one interesting thing: after Willys Overland started sourcing her axles down here for Jeeps and SW and Pickup Trucks, all front and rear axles came from the assembling line as D44...so, we do not have Jeeps down here with D30s...all of them, exeption made for the really old ones, are D44 front and rear...but, one sad side of the whole story...the front D44s are all closed knuckle type.

One company called ENSIMEC has been trying to solve this problem by cutting off the closed knuckles and swapping in a big one, size of a D60, even bigger, including the swap of the standard axle shafts for 4140 or 4340 ones.

My rear axle is a D44, 5.38, full floating ( 3 companies here can supply you with a well made kit ), 4340 axle shafts, 5x5.5 bolt pattern and a kind of Lock Right also made by a Brazilian company.

The front axle is a D44, with the same locker, but still has the closed knuckle and standard axles shafts...Im planning to swap in a kit and up grade it to open knuckle style ends, 4340 axle shafts, D60 U-joints and go for spolls front and rear, going away are the lockers that are there by now.

Tires are 36-12.5-15 on 15x10 steel wheels.

The chassis is homebrew by making them with steel channels of 1/4"x4"x2", whelded and boxed. Wheel base of 85", employing 4 rear springs of CJ5, spring under config.

Im going with revolver shackles front and rear.

Drive shafts are made of DOM tubbing, 2.5" diameter x .250"

Body tub is of fiberglass, roll cage of .125".

Engine is a 250 CID GM L6, matted to a Clarck 260F 4 speed and a D18 t-case.

That is, my CJ.
